Corner Pub Canton
If you’ve been in the plaza at Canton Center and Ford Roads, in the Yellow Block, where the Kroger is, you may have noticed something new. The Corner Pub opened this year, and if you haven’t visited yet, it’s high time. The Corner Pub is that neighborhood watering hole you’ve been wishing for, where you can enjoy a cold beer, catch a game on TV and enjoy some delicious pub fare.
Ron Way grew up in the area, then embarked on a professional baseball career. Now back in Michigan, he’s happily taken on the role of General Manager. “I still have a lot of ties here, and it’s good to be back,” he says. “I owned and managed a few bars — including managing the Bailey’s in Canton, before being brought in to help build the Corner Pub into what it is today. Working here has given me the chance to move back into the area I know and love and help give us the reputation of the best neighborhood pub around!”
Ron points to the Steak Bites on their menu as something not to be missed. “The sauce on them is a must-try,” he emphasizes. “We also have a unique square pizza that people can’t get enough of — and we do a Thirsty Thursday that has $3 beers and lots of BBQ specials. Our atmosphere is what sets us apart. We have the best TV setup in the area, and we have NFL Sunday Ticket as well as the MLB package. So this really is the best place to catch all the games. We also have 18 beers on tap and a team that is second to none — we work hard to make you feel welcome here. We just want you to come and check us out!”
In addition to the above-mentioned amenities, the Corner Pub offers Keno, Pull Tabs, darts and live music on most weekends.
